Flavour harmony: vanilla espresso (martini)

Call the waiter, sit back, and say with confidence: "I'll have an EsMa!"

The term "EsMa" has firmly established itself as the trendy short cut to a classic Espresso Martini, especially among younger cocktail lovers. This playful and catchy name has quickly gained attention, boosted by the influence of social media. It is a perfect example of how the abbreviation culture, reinforced by social media, can give old favourites a fresh twist and make them interesting again for a new generation.

The Espresso Martini, a cocktail that originated in the late 80s and gained great popularity in the 90s, is famous for its strong coffee taste. Despite the name "Martini", which refers to the glass in which the cocktail is served, the Espresso Martini does not contain gin or vermouth and therefore differs from a traditional Martini.

The classic combination of rich coffee and refined liqueur has now made way for a series of creative reinterpretations, ranging from alcohol-free versions to versions with vanilla and caramel. These new variations have inspired us to develop a flavour that tastefully reflects the essence of the modern Espresso Martini.

Our taste experts have developed a refined combination of strong coffee and creamy vanilla, with a versatile and elegant profile that is ideally suited for a variety of applications, such as ganaches, buttercreams, coatings and desserts. In this way, the charm of the Espresso Martini has found its way beyond the cocktail glass.
